Care tips for your Roccoban garment

  • cleaning

      With the right care and treatment, your leather jacket will not only look better, but also last longer.

      Please follow these steps when cleaning your garment:

      1. Gently brush it with a soft brush to remove any dust.

      2. Clean the jacket with cold water and neutral soap (which does not contain any chemicals). Gently wipe the outside of the jacket with a sponge. Don't use hot water. Do not use the soap on areas with fur trimmings, otherwise they will be severely damaged

      3. Remove the soap in the same way, but only with cold water.

      4. Wipe off excess water with a sponge and shake the jacket to avoid water staining. If there are water stains, please wipe the affected areas with a damp sponge and wipe the area a second time to remove the remaining water.

      5. Hang the garment to dry in a well-ventilated area - away from direct heat sources (heaters, etc.) or direct sunlight.

      With suede it is sometimes possible to remove light, soft stains with an eraser.

      Please avoid the following as they may damage or remove the waterproofing and potentially void the garment's warranty:

      - Do not dry clean.

      - Do not machine wash.

      - Do not tumble dry.

      - Do not use any soap or detergent.

      - Do not use solvents or bleach.

      - Do not iron or starch.

      - Do not force dry or expose to direct flame.

      - Do not expose to direct sunlight for a long time (e.g. through the rear window of a car).

      We also recommend that you take your Roccoban jacket to a reputable, professional leather cleaner if necessary, as this will make daily care a lot easier.

      • Do not store your jacket in plastic as the foil can dry out the material.

      • Use sturdy wooden or padded hangers to store your leather coats and jackets. This is how the garment keeps its shape.

      • Store the garment in a cool, dry place, avoiding moisture and direct sunlight, as this will discolour and dry out the leather.

      • If possible, avoid folding your jacket.

  • special instructions

      Try to protect your jacket from heavy rain as much as possible. As soon as leather gets wet, the natural oils of the material come to the surface. When this oil gets warm, it can evaporate, causing the jacket to become dry and brittle. Additional protection is the best way to protect your jacket from water damage. Good leather care makes your jacket more waterproof and ensures that the leather remains robust and looks fresh. If your leather clothing does get wet, it is best to let it air dry.

      Roccoban takes great pride in the design and craftsmanship of all of its products. We try to use only the finest materials and produce to the highest manufacturing standards. We strive to ensure that every item we sell is flawless.

      In the unlikely event that a Roccoban product does not meet your high standards, we will do our best to resolve the issue. Our jackets are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase.

      However, this only applies to items purchased from our independent stores or online. If your Roccoban item develops a defect within the 12 month period of purchase, you have an additional two months to report the problem to us. Please contact our customer service team who may be able to assist you further.

      If you report a problem to us, we may ask that you send us photos of the defective item. We will then make an initial assessment and tell you the next steps.

      Our warranty does not cover damage caused by wear and tear or misuse of the item.

      If you purchased the item from one of our Authorized Partners, we recommend that you contact them first. They will then contact the appropriate Roccoban team to resolve the issue.
